# Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2026-09-27. Plain-English summary first; the full terms follow.
This is a summary, not legal advice.

**In short:** You write the words; Kiddo illustrates them into a picture book and
can export print-ready files for Amazon KDP. You keep the rights to the story you
write. Books are free to create; a $9.99 credit unlocks a print-ready export. Use
Kiddo lawfully and only with content you have the right to use. We provide the
service "as is" and our liability is limited.

## 1. Who we are
Kiddo ("Kiddo", "we", "us") is operated by an independent business based in Israel. Contact:
support@kiddobooks.app.

## 2. Who may use Kiddo
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. Kiddo is a tool for adults
(parents, guardians, authors) to create books — including books for children. It
is not directed to children, and children should not create accounts. You are
responsible for anything done under your account.

## 3. Your account
You can create and preview a book anonymously. To save across devices, buy
credits, or export, you sign in with email or Google. Keep your login secure;
tell us at support@kiddobooks.app if you suspect unauthorized use. Anonymous books can
be claimed into your account when you sign in.

## 4. Your content and the rights you give us
"Your Content" is everything you provide — story text, titles, dedications,
character details, and any reference image you choose to upload. You keep all
rights to Your Content. You grant Kiddo a limited licence to store and process it
solely to provide the service (build, illustrate, preview, and export your book)
and to route it to the AI and infrastructure providers listed in our Privacy
Policy. You confirm you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not
infringe anyone's rights.

## 5. Illustrations and your book
Kiddo generates the illustrations from Your Content using AI. Subject to these
terms and your having paid any required export credit, you may use the book and
its illustrations for personal and commercial purposes, including self-publishing
on Amazon KDP. Because the images are AI-generated, copyright protection for them
may be limited or unavailable in some countries (for example, purely AI-generated
images may not be registrable with the U.S. Copyright Office). You are responsible
for meeting Amazon KDP's requirements, including disclosing AI-generated content,
and for your own publishing decisions.

## 6. Acceptable use
Do not use Kiddo to create or upload content that is illegal, infringing,
hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, deceptive, or that exploits or endangers a
child; do not upload a person's photo without the right to do so; and do not
attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or bypass
rate limits or payment. AI generation is also subject to our providers' usage
policies. We may refuse, remove, or stop generating content that breaks these
rules.

## 7. Payments and credits
Creating and previewing a book is free. A $9.99 export credit unlocks the
print-ready files for one book. Checkout and card processing are handled by Polar
as our Merchant of Record; their terms and privacy notice apply to the payment.
Credits are tied to your account and do not expire. Where you have a right to
cancel a digital purchase, you agree that we begin delivering the export
immediately and that your right to withdraw ends once the export has been
delivered. Refund questions go through Polar via support@kiddobooks.app.

## 8. Service "as is"
Kiddo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. AI output can contain
errors or unexpected results; we do not guarantee any particular artistic result,
print outcome, or that a book will be accepted by Amazon KDP. We may change,
suspend, or discontinue features.

## 9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kiddo is not liable for indirect,
incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total
liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the
12 months before the claim or US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be
limited by law.

## 10. Termination
You may stop using Kiddo and ask us to delete your account at any time
(support@kiddobooks.app). We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or to
protect the service or other users. Sections that by nature should survive
(content rights, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive termination.

## 11. Changes
We may update these terms; we'll change the "Last updated" date and, for material
changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use Kiddo after changes means you
accept them.

## 12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and disputes are subject to the
competent courts there, unless mandatory law in your country of residence
provides otherwise.
